So today I woke up and made the decision to be happy and be grateful for what we've been given. I had a layout laying on my desk for the past few days & I wanted to get it done, because let's face it, pretty paper makes me insanely happy, especially when pairing new Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party collection with a favorite photo of my god-daughter.
“So Sweet” Supplies: Grand Garland Paper (366172)- Polka Dot Party, Fantastic Favors Paper (366176)- Polka Dot Party, Terrific Tunes Paper (366170)- Polka Dot Party, Cheerful Chalkboard Paper (366174)- Polka Dot Party, Flourishing Flowers Paper (366180)- Polka Dot Party, Delightful Display Paper (366162)- Polka Dot Party, Cordial (366189)- Thickers, Epoxy Stickers (366198)- Polka Dot Party, Remarks Stickers (42234)-Neopolitan, Veneer Set (366204)- Polka Dot Party, Ribbon Card (89429)- Soho Garden, Accent & Phrase Stickers (366196)- Polka Dot Party, Adhesive Flowers (366203)- Polka Dot Party, Black (PP03-62311)-Precision Pen, Foam Tab Adhesive (AMF617-10)- This to That, Adhesive Dispenser (AM617-11)- This to That, Sealed Rotary Phrase Stamp (366080)- Cut & Paste, Glitter Glue (27414)- Zazz!
The colors in this collection are right up my alley. The resin flower that you see below? My favorite embellishment in a long time. The collection also has wood veneer pieces. The heart you see below was painted with acrylic paint and then white washed with spray mist to have a chalkboard texture.
I'm fairly certain that I will need at least 3 packs of these epoxy stickers. I also love how the teal paper looks like it has been splashed with paint.
This pretty flower was 'fussy-cut' from a piece of patterned paper. I then covered the flower with Zazz crystal & the leaves with Glossy Accents. The 'smiles' stamp came from this awesome rotary phrase stamp in Amy Tangerine's Cut & Paste collection.
Hope you enjoyed this layout! Do you make the decision to be happy? What helps you get there?
