Hey there! I am enjoying a blissful week & a half with my family and while Nana & Papaw free up my hands to give me some time to blog, I have some exciting things to share with you!
First, I've been asked to be on the first ever Elle's Studio Contributing Team, which consists of some amazing talent! I was so happy to be on the ES design team at the start of 2012 and I am so excited to be back now & working with her awesome tags! Please check out the blog post and have a look through my teammates' blogs!
Since I am now a part of the team, I'm excited to tell you about Elle's monthly kit, which includes 24 journaling & embellishment tags and is now live and available only today for $9.99! After the 10th, the price will go up to $11.99. It includes a mix of different shapes and designs, even a vellum tag- perfect for your project life, scrapbook layouts or cards!
This month's kit has a mix of fall colors & wording perfect for those Halloween, Thanksgiving & fall-themed pages. Here's a layout I created with the kit.
Yes, I know. I'm one of those crazy people who get their kicks out of making their dogs dress in a handmade costume. Thank goodness I have Lizzy this year, so Toby is off the hook when it comes to Halloween costumes. I made this Peter Pan costume for him & just had to scrap this photo. I wanted the layout to have a whimsical design, but not look overly Halloweenish. Elle's tags worked perfectly with my design! I also love how the manufacturer's strip at the bottom of the Penelope paper worked so well at bringing in other colors to the layout. Don't forget that Penelope, Noel & 2014 are now available in the shop, too!
Another exciting product from Elle that is being launched this month- CUT FILES! How awesome is that, right?
The files will be available in the shop & coordinate with the designs of the kit tags.
Lastly, from bits and pieces I had laying around after I created my layout, I threw together this card.
I cut apart the orange, white & yellow hexagonal tag to create the candy corn, punched some confetti 'candy' dots & used glossy accents on all those before adding some enamel embellishments as well. Super cute & easy card to send to a special someone for Halloween.
Anyway, that's what I have to share with you today! I'm off to enjoy my first taste of autumn weather away from the Texas heat!
