Documenting Fall Memories with Scrapbook.com Exclusives!

Hello, friends! I’m so glad you joined me today! I just had a new project to share over at the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog, and I wanted to share it with you here, too! Fall is my favorite season, and I am in love with this new, seasonal traveler’s notebook spread that I created with the latest Scrapbook.com exclusive products. Take a look!

Supplies | Scrapbook.com: Cozy patterned paper 6×8 pad, Cozy Autumn Foliage shape dies, Cozy Autumn Sentiments & Critters stamp, Cozy Autumn rub-on transfers, Rose Quartz Misti, Magic Mat, ink blending tool, Deluxe adhesive roller, Mint tape – 1-inch roll, small precision scissors; Concord & 9th: Ink (Pebble, Nutmeg), Pebble cardstock; LDRS Creative: Rose Quartz Stampendable tool; Spellbinders: Platinum 6 die-cutting machine; American Crafts: Bungalow Lane embellishment die-cuts; WeR Makers: glass mat; Citrus Twist Kits: traveler’s notebook; Font: American Typewriter; Other: sewing machine, thread

This layout was so fun to create, not to mention easy, using the new, exclusive products from Scrapbook.com. From patterned paper to must-have rub-ons, these products made this spread come together in no time!

The left side of my spread is full of texture & interest with the column of leaves on the edge, created using the Cozy patterned paper 6×8 pad and Cozy Autumn Foliage shape dies. I loved the beautiful patterns and colors in the paper pad, which even includes solids! I also loved the special touch that the dies deboss the veins on the leaves and cut them at the same time!

The Cozy Autumn Sentiments & Critters stamp helped me create my title with the “hello” word and this sweet “love you” below. To finish my title, I paired this stamp with the Cozy Autumn rub-on transfers to add the sparkly “fall” word and a few small leaves and hearts around the spread.

On the right side of the spread, I had to use the beautiful plaid pattern from the Cozy patterned paper 6×8 pad, adding stitching around the edge for texture. I added two die cut leaves to the corner of my photo and was so happy to use two pieces from the American Crafts Bungalow Lane embellishment pack, which coordinated beautifully with the Scrapbook.com products. It feels great to use something from my stash at the same time as creating with new products!

This month, I created a new spread in my daughter’s 2018 traveler’s notebook, all about our favorite parts of August last year: seeing The Lion King in London and hiking Mam Tor in Derbyshire. The beautiful kit colors picked up the yellows and pinks in my photos perfectly, and by using the multi-colored 3” x 4” tag, I opened up a whole range of embellishment color possibilities!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_AugustTN_01.jpg

The “family favorite” Makes Me Smile cork circle created the perfect base for an embellishment grouping on this page, and I love the mix of colors with the yellow patterned paper, fuchsia puffy alphas and teal die-cut heart circle. By using the “totally worth it” die cut from the kit, you can lift up the photo to find out my daughter’s favorite moments from the play, written on a 3” x 4” tag.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_AugustTN_03.jpg

The second main embellishment grouping went below this fun, powerful photo of my daughter on our hike, and the “brave spirit” Be Yourself phrase sticker was perfect to add as a caption here. I loved using the Highlights From stamp off of the bottom of my page to add the month. This notebook is all about the highlights from each month of my daughter’s year, so I’m sure that I’ll be using this more in the future!

Elle's Studio June Kit Reveal!

Hello friends! It’s the 10th of the month, and the June 2019 Elle’s Studio kit and add-ons* have hit the shop! This kit will have you itching to get into the A/C to document your summer memories with its colorful hues, pretty hand lettered words and cute wood veneers! Take a look at my unboxing video to see all of the new goodies:

Oh this June kit! With all of the colors and summery themes, I had to document some equally colorful and fun summer moments with it this month!

The June add-ons are just the best this month! Whether you’re documenting best friends, or creating a big, starry title, you need to create some space in your box for them! (And as a bonus, subscribers can add these add-ons to their box for free!)

With all of the color in the kit, I decided to document a fun family trip to Mexico in my daughter’s 2018 traveler’s notebook.

I was so inspired by the color scheme found on the “relax” journaling tag from the June kit, that I based my spread’s color scheme on it, and created the equally colorful “Mexico” title!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_MexicoTN_02.jpg

Doubling up the Large Jane solid and stars alphabet stamps for my letters created such a beautiful title! Want to see how I created this title, and designed my spread? It would easily translate into a 12” x 12” scrapbook layout! Watch my process video here:

I know you’ll love creating with the Elle’s Studio June kit and extras as much as I did! Find all of the products that I used to create this TN spread in the gallery below, and happy creating this week!

American Crafts Journal Studio Notebook: Sun's Out, Fun's Out!

I’m still working on the traveler’s notebook project that records my daughter’s favorite memories from 2018, and today I’m here to share May’s installment with you! This fun traveler’s notebook spread, created with the American Crafts Journal Studio* and Amy Tangerine Stay Sweet collection, records a wonderful Memorial Day weekend spent in Kentucky with my family.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_SunsOutFunsOutTN_01.jpg

Supplies | Journal Studio collection: Watercolor Stripe journal kit, Hello journal insert, Amy Tan sticker book, Amy Tan sticker book, Journal Studio sticker book, Good Vibes Only gel pens; Stay Sweet collection: Summer Love paper, 6” x 8” paper pad, ephemera pack, sticker book, mini puffy stickers, epoxy heart stickers, washi tape, rotary phrase stamp, watercolor set; Other: Dear Lizzy clothespins (I like to keep my notebooks open with these when photographing)

These little spreads are really growing on me, and I am loving creating them with similar products each month. I typically start with some of the Journal Studio products that work perfectly with anything I wish to document, then I match those with a current AC collection. The Stay Sweet collection, with it’s summer vibe and bright, fun colors worked perfectly for this start-of-summer spread.

After my photos were printed and layered with papers from the 6” x 8” paper pad, including that fun popsicle print, I chose my title, “sun’s out, fun’s out,” which I cut from the Summer Love paper. This bold, fun strip of my title brought my left and right sides together right away.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_SunsOutFunsOutTN_03.jpg

Above that title, I added my photos, which I topped with an ephemera popsicle, camera and fun fish, which was perfect to use with the photo of my daughter jumping off of the boat into the river.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_SunsOutFunsOutTN_04.jpg

Before I adhered my fish down, I added a bit of turquoise watercolor paint from the amazing travel watercolor set. I just can’t get enough of this compact paint set! I also added some splatters on the right side using the water brush included in the set. The “wow” sticker from the Journal Studio sticker book coordinated perfectly with the yellow found in the Stay Sweet collection, and was perfect for adding to the corner of my photo.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_SunsOutFunsOutTN_05.jpg

The final touches that I added were two strips of washi tape at the top of my photo. The popsicle washi tape matched the pattern on the left side, again tying the two sides together. On top of the striped washi, I added the stickers “family” and “memories” from the Amy Tan sticker book, then stamped “sweet” using the Stay Sweet rotary phrase stamp.

That’s another fun memory documented for my daughter in such a fun and easy way using Journal Studio and the Amy Tangerine Stay Sweet collection! Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to check out the products that I used in the Scrapbook.com gallery below! Happy creating!

American Crafts Journal Studio Notebook: Lizzy 2018

I’m so excited to be sharing my first project using the Journal Studio Collection* from American Crafts! I’ve decided to document 2018 from my daughter’s perspective, creating two spreads for each month of her year. I want these spreads to focus on her interests, her activities and the highlights of her year. The Journal Studio Collection was perfect for this task, as everything coordinates perfectly and takes the guesswork out of creating!

Supplies | (If an item is not available, click “notify me when in stock” to grab it when it is back in the shop!) American Crafts Journal Studio Collection: Watercolor Stripe journal kit, Hello journal insert, Amy Tan sticker book, Amy Tan washi tape, Journal Studio sticker book, Journal Studio ephemera, Journal Studio mini puffy stickers, Journal Studio Dreams paper clips, Good Vibes Only gel pens; Sunshine and Good Times Collection: Rainbow Love paper, Shine Bright paper, Major Heart Eyes paper; Other: Dear Lizzy Lovely Day Thickers, Dear Lizzy clothespins (I like to keep my notebooks open with these when photographing)

I started off with a photograph from my daughter’s birthday in January, keeping the pages and layers super simple, and non-dimensional. Both the Amy Tan sticker book and Journal Studio sticker book have so many options for awesome embellishment, it was hard to choose what designs to select!

These alphabet stickers were included in the Journal Studio sticker book, and could not have been more perfect for adding a title in that speech bubble sticker!

This is my favorite spread from my creative session, and documents my daughter’s first experience with snow at our home in Texas. I just love the color scheme on this page—those sherbet colors are perfect for each month of the year!

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_JournalStudioCollection_HelloLizzyNotebook_04.jpg

The sweet heart stickers radiating out of the lovely die-cut house from the Journal Studio ephemera created the perfect embellishment for this spread.

I kept this rainbow paper for just such an occasion, and I love the way it tied both halves of my spread together here, on this layout that documents my daughter’s besties and a trip to the zoo.

Watch this process video, as I create these pages, and talk all about how I’m tackling this extra project at the end of the year:

Elle's Studio Let's Go Traveler's Notebook Kit!

I am so excited to introduce you to the Let's Go traveler's notebook kit*—one that Elle and I collaborated on when we were together earlier in the year. We loved creating this fun travel-themed kit, and I know you will love creating with it, just like I did! (*All product links contained in this post are affiliate links. You don't pay any extra, but I get a small percentage of your sale! Thanks for your continued support of my YouTube feed and this blog!)

Getting the physical kit in my hands was such an awesome moment for me, and creating with it was even more special! I decided to document a trip that we took to Seattle last fall, in my new gold dot Webster's Pages traveler's notebook, which is so gorgeous! I love that teal interior!

I kept the title page on the front of my insert quite simple, adding a 3" x 4" photo of my family and my favorite "location" stamp included in the kit, which I stamped with the Stanley Jr. solid and outline stamps.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SeattleTN_02.jpg

On the first page, I added another 3" x 4" photo with typed journaling above to the "oh the places we go" paper. I love that all of the colors in the kit are on this fun page. I also used the Adventure puffy stickers in my notebook—they work perfectly with the Let's Go kit

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SeattleTN_03.jpg

This spread uses the same piece of paper, halved between the two pages. I love those tags included in the kit—they're perfect for adding journaling to my notebook!

Want to see how these pages came together? Watch my process video, which includes an unboxing of the kit itself!

Be sure to grab the Let's Go traveler's notebook kit while supplies last! It's perfect for documenting adventures big and small!
