Hello, friends, and Happy Halloween! Today I’m going live on my YouTube channel at 11 am Eastern time to create a fun and colorful Dia de lost Muertos card using the new Happier Hour Collection from Spellbinders! In this video, I’m creating such a fun card to celebrate the day and my love for Day of the Dead iconography. I always love the bright colors featured on this holiday, and of course, sugar skulls!

I fell in love with the Sip Sip Ole' Etched Dies from the collection as soon as I saw them. I love margaritas and Mexican iconography, so I knew this set would be perfect to create with!

To back these wonderful new dies, I created an embossed and stenciled panel using past club kits—currently on SALE in the Creep It Crafty Sale! I used Villainous Potion Distress Oxide to add that dark purple to some of the embossed areas. I love the way this background came out and how it adds contrast against the margarita!

To frame the margarita from the Sip Sip Ole' Etched Dies, I used the new Linear Touch Rectangles and Tag Etched Dies. I cut this frame twice and popped it up with 1mm black foam adhesive. Not only did it help the margarita stand out, but the corners also gave me the perfect place to add the colorful sugar skulls.

I finished off this card with the perfect sentiment from the Sip Sip Ole Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set. I floated this sentiment across the margarita and frame to ground it to the card, and not cover up any of the elements at the base of the card. A few essential gems finished off this card beautifully, and I could not love it more!
