Strech Your Supplies: Mixing Old & New with Gina K. Designs!

In this video, I created this colorful and happy birthday card:
I loved pairing a stencil that I had in my stash for TOO long without using it—the Layered Candles Stencil. I used a favorite color scheme to create a row of colorful candles to start my card. Then, I used the new frame dies from the Sweet Celebrations Kit to frame my candles in a Polaroid-style frame, which also holds my sentiment!
I wanted a colorful background behind my frame, so I stamped tone-on-tone Buttercup ink on Buttercup cardstock using the Birthday Sprinkles stamp from the Sweet Celebrations Kit. This created the perfect backdrop that didn’t distract from the frame. To add a little ‘pop’ of color, I die cut washi strips from the Picture Perfect Frames dies from Passionate Pink cardstock, adding them to the corners of my frame. A few Clear Quartz Solid Sequins finished off the card perfectly.
