Let’s take a look at the card that I created in my video:
I wanted this card to have a slight vintage feel, so I started by lightly blending Sandy Beach ink around my 5 x 7” card front. The beautiful poinsettias found on the Festive Bloom stamp set from the Christmas in July kit were stamped in the corners using Red Velvet ink, grounding the entire design.
I followed by adding 5 leaves around the poinsettias, using a blend of Grass Green with Fresh Asparagus. I love stamping two-toned solid images! From there, I decided to add some interest to the background, using the festive Postage Plus stamp from the kit to stamp postage icons in Sandy Beach—making them almost fade into the background.
The final step was to add the beautiful gold accents—I heat embossed the centers of the poinsettias with gold embossing powder to make them shine. A black stamped ‘Happy Holidays’ sentiment popped against the background. I finshed the card with a mix of gold and silver pearls from the Mini Pearl Mix.
