October My Monthly Hero Kits: Autumn Harvest
/Hello there! The My Monthly Hero and My Monthly Super Hero Kits have arrived, and I loved creating four beautiful autumn cards this month! Today, we’re taking a look at the latest kits and what I created!
My Monthly Hero
The My Monthly Hero kit includes three die sets, plus a stamp + cut set and 10 half sheets of cardstock! It’s an incredible value, and perfect for creating a card like this one:
I love the Seed Packet Die Set included in the My Monthly Hero kit, and decided to make it look a bit vintage with ink blending, then embellish it with pumpkins and squash from the Nuture Daily Stamp & Cut set. I finished off the card with a few seeds at the base, too.

The Colorful Corn Stencil & Cut Set, only included in the My Monthly Super Hero Kit, is really gorgeous, and I used the perfect set of inks from Gina K. Designs (see the supply list below!) to create the dried-corn look. This fit perfectly onto a layered panel created with the Mirrored Arch Labels Etched Dies cut using Alabaster ColorWheel cardstock and Matte Metallic Rose Gold Treasured Cardstock. Although the Sunflower Die Set is included in the My Monthly Hero kit, the Grateful & Thanks Stamp & Cut, only in the My Monthly Super Hero Kit, features heavily on my cards this month! I loved using the beautiful script words to create a tone-on-tone background on this card, which I also splattered with gold and ink-blended the edges to give this card a vintage feel. To help the sunflowers to stand out, I added a panel of vellum, cut using the Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Etched Dies. I finished off the card with the darker Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems. I just love how it turned out!
The Rustic Wheelbarrow Die Set doesn’t need much help standing out to create a beautiful fall card. I paired my die cuts with the Mirrored Arch Labels Etched Dies again, backing the grouping with an Alabaster ColorWheel cardstock panel, then a Rose Gold Pearl Metallic Treasured Cardstock panel behind it to create the perfect amount of shimmer. I finished this card off with a couple of Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems. Simple, yet stunning!
