Hello again! I’m excited to celebrate the August release at Gina K. Designs! This release is packed full of amazing products, and tonight I am focusing on one in particular, the Butterfly Garden Stencil. Take a look at what I created with it:

This gorgeous stencil includes a delicate pattern of butterflies and florals, and is perfect for crafting a gorgeous background using ink and other mixed media.

I started off stenciling a gradient of ink using Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea and Tranquil Teal, then covered the entire background with Frostbite Astro Paste from Simon Hurley Create! This gave the background a shiny, textured look that is just so gorgeous!

I wanted a focal point set against my textured background, and I chose a large butterfly from the Ornate Spring stamp. Stamping it in black with Obsidian Amalgam ink helped it to stand out.

My sentiment, which I thought was perfect for the feel of this card, came from the new Autumn Bears bundle, and to help it stand out, I layered it on an oval of vellum cut from the Master Layouts 09 die set. A few of the Aura Angel rhinestones finished off the card with a bit of sparkle.
