Box of Crayons Collection: Firefighter Lizzy

Hello there! Hopefully you've planned some crafty time this Memorial Day weekend! Today I'm kicking off this long, creative weekend a bit early, and I'm here to share a bit of colorful inspiration with you using the Box of Crayons collection from Shimelle and American Crafts!*

Box of Crayons Collection Supplies | A New Thought patterned paper, Spell it Out patterned paper, On a Roll patterned paper, journaling 6 x 8 paper pad, Crayon Box alpha Thickers, cardstock stickers, sticker and washi book, alpha sticker folder, ephemera die cuts, enamel dots with glitter, self-adhesive patches 

This fun and playful layout began by matching my photo to the yellow, black and white A New Thought patterned paper. Once I added the rainbow of colors using a manufacturer's strip, giving my photo a "shelf" to sit on, I opened up the door to adding more color on my page!

As is usually the case, my title is my favorite part of this layout. I loved combining the red tile alphas from the Box of Crayons alpha sticker folder with the Crayon Box alpha Thickers, and the addition of the "hello" self-adhesive patch just topped it off perfectly.

While creating this page, the space above my journaling just felt like it needed something "more." I was so excited to find the "e" on the Spell it Out patterned paper, which I cut a banner shape into before tucking it under my photo. It was the perfect addition to create the visual triangle of embellishment that I needed on this layout.
