Document December 2019 COMPLETE!

EllesStudio-Meghann-Andrew-Document-December-Page-01-A.jpg

Hello friends! I am so excited to share that I have completed my Document December 2019 project, using the Elle’s Studio Document December products*. I decided to create a 3” x 8” format this year, and I started with the Ali Edwards gold striped album (sold out). After breaking one of the binders, the awesome AE customer service team sent me the polka-dotted binder, but by that point, I realized that I would likely fill two binders, so I just kept both.

As a coordinator and design team member for Elle’s Studio, I received all of the Elle’s Studio Document December 2019 products* this year (you can see what products are still in stock at that link!) and used almost everything to complete both volumes, aside from a few stickers, acrylic and die cuts.

Here is a look at the pages from volume one. Click the individual photo to take a closer look!

Volume two started with December 14th, and went through the end of the year:

If you’d like to hear me talk about the album and flip through it while explaining the pages, you’re in luck! Check out my video here:

Thank you so much for watching, and be sure to stay tuned for the Elle’s Studio Document December 2020 kit and add-ons to hit the Elle’s Studio shop sometime in August! The 2019 kit sold out quickly last year, so don’t miss out on what could be your favorite December documentation project yet!

02-SCT-Sampler-February-2020-01.jpg

New products from Doodlebug Design, Pink Paislee, an embossing folder from Close to My Heart and an exclusive acrylic word created by SCT! The colors are beautiful, and they all work together so perfectly! Take a look at the new 8-1/2” x 11” layout that I created:

SCT-Magazine-SCT-Sampler-February-2020-Meghann-Andrew-Love-01a.jpg

The paper that I loved most in the kit was the colorful diamond pattern from the Pink Paislee Bloom Street collection, and I started by fussy-cutting it, adding it to a white cardstock background and sewing down the center of the diamonds to add texture! This paper set my color scheme for the page. Next, I took the Bloom Street pink patterned paper and ran it through my embossing machine using the Close to My Heart embossing folder, adding some subtle texture. This created the matte for my 4” x 6” photo.

SCT-Magazine-SCT-Sampler-February-2020-Meghann-Andrew-Love-04.jpg

The Sampler card includes a really lovely quote each month, and I decided to do something fun with it! I layered the exclusive acrylic word on top of the card, then used colorful thread to stitch it in place. This added dimension and fun detail! After layering my photo on top of the card, I started embellishing with the fun die-cuts and stickers included in the Sampler.

SCT-Magazine-SCT-Sampler-February-2020-Meghann-Andrew-Love-03.jpg

I continued adding the diamond shapes across the page by fussy-cutting three more diamonds, adhering them to the background, then stitching them down. Next, I created a cluster of embellishment at the bottom right corner of my photo using a the Doodlebug Love Notes collection patterned paper strip and die cuts. I love the floral elements included—with all of the other hard lines going on on this page, they broke those lines up a bit.

SCT-Magazine-SCT-Sampler-February-2020-Meghann-Andrew-Love-02.jpg

A large butterfly die cut, a few heart die cuts and stickers, and a few drops of dark blue ink finished off this page, all about how much my daughter loves her daddy!

Sending Sunshine with the Elle's Studio February Kit and Add-Ons

Hello, friends! Earlier this week, I introduced you to a brand new kit from Elle’s Studio, and showed you a new layout using the beautiful, rainbow-colored supplies. Today, I’m here to share my second project, a duo of happy cards, perfect for sending to anyone that you care about! This month’s kit and add-ons* include a selection of products perfect for card making, so creating these in just minutes was simple to do!

Elles-Studio-Meghann-Andrew-February-2020-Kit-Greeting-Cards-01.jpg

These two cards just fill my heart with happiness, but took only a few minutes to create. Let’s talk about the birthday card first:

Elles-Studio-Meghann-Andrew-February-2020-Kit-Greeting-Cards-03.jpg

I started out by using a piece of the Love Is paper stack multi-colored star paper as my background, which I punched on the right side. To add some contrast to the blue, I decided to add a strip of yellow cardstock on the left, which I stamped with a column of yellow hearts using the Sunshine & Laughter stamp. I just love that pop of yellow! The card background was created with a 3” x 4” tag from the February 2020 kit, which I stamped the sentiment on, using the Sunshine & Laughter stamp, then a grouping of stars and a heart. At the top, I added two die-cuts from the kit. On the “here we go” tag, I plan on adding a number, corresponding to the age of whomever I give this happy birthday card to!

Elles-Studio-Meghann-Andrew-February-2020-Kit-Greeting-Cards-04.jpg

At the base of the card, I had to add a rainbow! I used the Sunshine & Laughter stamp again, inking it up with a different color each time and wiping off the rainbow rays that I didn’t want to be inked. I did this for all 6 colors, and cut my rainbow from the smooth, white cardstock. A rainbow needs a few clouds, though, so I added three white, sparkly stamped and embossed clouds, which I adhered using dimensional adhesive. After adding a few sparkly sequins, I called this card perfect!

Elles-Studio-Meghann-Andrew-February-2020-Kit-Greeting-Cards-02.jpg

My second card is a bit more feminine, and a color scheme that totally fits my style! I started off by using the woodgrain and three purple stripes from the Love Is paper stack as my card background, topping those with the teal tag from the February 2020 kit, which I adhered using dimensional adhesive. Before adhering, I wrapped yellow baker’s twine twice around it and tied into a knot. I topped this card with my sentiment, “so happy for you,” using the Simply Wonderful wood veneer banners and finished off the center of the card with the amazing puffy rainbow sticker.

Elles-Studio-Meghann-Andrew-February-2020-Kit-Greeting-Cards-05.jpg

Since my design was focused on the column in the center, I wanted to add some embellishment to the outside edges. I selected a heart die cut from the February 2020 kit, adding it to the left bottom corner. I painted three cork stars with a pearlescent yellow paint, and once dry, adhered them using liquid adhesive. Finally , stamped tiny hearts from the Sunshine & Laughter stamp, in purple, adding a few yellow sequins to finish off the card.

I just love how both of these designs turned out, and I have so many more ideas for cards to create using the February kit and add-ons! Some of these products are close to selling out, so be sure to grab the supplies that I used at the gallery links below. Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy creating, friends!

Elles-Studio-Meghann-Andrew-February-2020-Kit-Happy-Moments-01.jpg

What a happy layout to record a happy memory! This layout began with me cutting the colorful rainbow from the Love Is and Magical Memories paper stacks. which I arranged at two corners of my layout to frame the photos in the center. I loved creating this page—stamping the title, adding small embellishments to help move your eye across the page—and I’d love to show you how I created it in my process video:

Close to My Heart All Around Creativity Create Wreath

Hello, friends! It isn’t often that I find the time to create a decor piece for my home. Because I create and do a lot of behind-the-scenes work for a living, I typically run out of time when it comes to the fun stuff that is created just for me! Recently, my friends at Close to My Heart sent me a new box of goodies, which included their two latest collections, along with a new and fun kit, the All Around Creativity Wreath Kit!

I was pretty darn excited, since my friends at CTMH are notorious for making paper crafting a simple process. This weekend, I was determined to carve out some time to create my wreath… and it only took 30 minutes! I filmed a process video while creating, so that you can see just how simple and easy it was to create and get up on my wall in one crafty session! Grab a cuppa and take a look:

I am so excited that I have another pop of contrast and color on the wall where I work on a daily basis, and I am so glad that I took the time to create my wreath. I know that you’ll love this project as much as I did, but the All Around Creativity Wreath Kit is only available for a limited period of time! Be sure to head to the Close to My Heart shop to grab yours while supplies last! The only question is, which wreath will you choose?

Gratitude Mini Album Update

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_01.jpg

Hello there, friends! This month is one of reflection and gratitude, and earlier in the month I shared how I am recording that with a small tag book that I am creating using Elle’s Studio products, including the Grateful For tags. Today I am here to share an update to my mini, so that you can see my progress. Keeping it simple and sweet has kept me successful in documenting gratitude each day, and I am so enjoying flipping through the finished pages. Let’s take a look:

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_10.jpg

I am grateful for my body. We only get one, so we must be grateful for it, right? I kept this spread super simple, and I loved that I could add the “daily routine” sentiment using the Everyday Tabs stamp onto the navy November label.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_12.jpg

Voting is always something I am grateful for, and I recorded that with a selfie pointing to my “I voted” sticker. I love that the teal pattern from the Home Sweet Home paper stack plays beautifully against the reds in my photo.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_13.jpg

This was a first for me: I actually took a selfie of myself on the massage table before my masseuse walked into the room! The “life is complete” sentiment was perfect to add to my photo, and I also loved adding “rest and relax sentiment to the September label using the Everyday Tabs stamp.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_15.jpg

Beautiful sunsets are always something to be grateful for, and I love that the “thankful” puffy sticker from the Thankful puffy stickers fit so perfectly on the black negative space of my photo.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_18.jpg

Is anyone else in love with their Instant Pot? I had to record that here on this spread, and the new Let’s Eat stamp was perfect for adding the “yum” and “so good” sentiments to this simple design.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_20.jpg

I worked really hard this week to compile my excess product to raise money for our local NICU, and I wanted to document my gratitude for being able to do this each year. I added the “love this view” phrase from the Everyday Tabs stamp directly to my photo and two simple puffy stickers.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_21.jpg

I hit 4,000 followers on my Instagram feed last week, and I had to record this today. The “oh happy day” puffy sticker was perfect for this page.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_23.jpg

Lastly, I recorded how I am grateful for my planner. It keeps me organized, without any extra fuss!

I can't wait to finish off this project by the end of the month! Be sure to check out the products I used to create this mini album at the shoppable gallery below. How are you recording your gratitude?

Elle's Studio November Kit + Add On Reveal

Hello, friends! I am so excited to share the November 2019 kit and add-ons* from Elle’s Studio with you today, as well as a two new projects I created using the beautiful new products! First, let’s take a look at the kit, which I’m sharing with you in an unboxing video:

The November kit includes the perfect mix of autumn and Christmas iconography and sayings, with a rich color scheme and beautiful illustrations! I just love each and every tag and die-cut included!

EllesStudio_November2019_Kit_1500px.jpg

The carefully coordinated add-ons will have you easily putting together your favorite holiday-themed projects, and as a bonus, the Christmas-themed products, like the new ‘Tis the Season paper stack and Christmas die cut labels also coordinate perfectly with the Document December 2019 products, boosting your supplies for your favorite memory-keeping project!

EllesStudio_November2019_Add-Ons.jpg

I am so excited about all of these new goodies! Let’s take a look at the first project that I created using them: a Gratitude mini album, which was inspired by the new Grateful journaling tags.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_01.jpg

Because I have another daily memory-keeping project just around the corner, I decided to keep this gratitude mini super simple, backing the Grateful journaling tags onto patterned paper from the Home Sweet Home paper stack and keeping my embellishment simple by using stickers, wood veneer and stamped sentiments.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SoVeryGratefulMini_03.jpg

In this daily mini album, I am recording both the big things, like my friends and family, as well as the small things that I am grateful for, like a new pair of running shoes. I hope you’ll watch as my album progresses through the month of November by following along in my Instagram feed, and be sure to check out the Grateful journaling tags to help you record what you are most grateful for in life!

My next project is a bit more complicated, but was OH so fun to create! I recorded my family’s mini Thanksgiving last year, by pulling out all of the autumn-themed tags, die cuts and embellishments from the November 2019 kit and add-ons.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_MiniThanksgiving_01_edited-1.jpg

The rich colors included in the November kit and fun embellishments (does it get any better than that pumpkin pie slice from the Holiday puffy stickers?!) made this spread so fun to create, and you can watch how it all came together in my process video:

I hope you loved this project as much as I did, and it inspires you to record your favorite holiday memories using the November 2019 kit and add-ons! Be sure to grab the products that you love the most from my spread at the links below while supplies last, and while you’re in the shop, look into becoming a kit subscriber! Not only will you lock in the kit introductory price of $9.99 each month, but you can bundle your add-ons and shop items with your kit for shipping savings AND get access to exclusive subscriber discounts on new products! Autumn Memories in Pockets

Hello there! The Elle’s Studio October 2019 kit and add-ons revealed earlier this month, and in addition to a spooktacular layout that I created, I also made an autumnal pocket page spread to record a beautiful and fun girl’s weekend among friends. Take a look!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_01.jpg

How perfect are these photos with this kit, right? I could not be happier with the way the spread turned out. Here’s a look at the closer details:

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_05.jpg

I created my title tag in a clever way with three different layers. First, I started with the Home Sweet Home paper stack yellow pattern, cut to 4” x 6” to form the base of the pocket card. Next, I layered the leaf and acorn journaling tag from the October 2019 kit on top, to hold the story of the weekend. At the base of that, I added a jewel-toned die-cut label that I added my journaling to using the Jane alphabet stickers in navy and my favorite typewriter alphabet stamp, Hazel. I finished off the pocket by adding a cute acorn from the wood veneer leaves set, as well as leaves and hearts from the autumn puffy stickers.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_06.jpg

Next to my title tag, I added one of my favorite tags from the October 2019 kit, the “gather” circle tag. I used this tag to add my date, using the Mini Dated stamp, as well as the dots below from the new, versatile Everyday Tabs stamp.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_07.jpg

I love it when product matches my photos perfectly! The “autumn tradition” die cut from the October 2019 kit and the “at the pumpkin patch” autumn puffy sticker layered on top of the jewel-toned die-cut label on the negative space in my photo to point toward my daughter picking her pumpkin in this photo. I love these small details added to photos!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_10.jpg

On the second page, this is my favorite pocket! I started with the striped, colorful pattern from the Home Sweet Home paper stack, layering the “thankful” tag from the October 2019 kit on top using dimensional adhesive, which I cut to appear longer, and topped with my favorite square photo of my friends and I. I added the “good company” autumn puffy sticker—again, the perfect sentiment for this photo!—to the base. It’s a simple, but clever way to build this pocket.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_12.jpg

I love the sentiments of gratitude found in the October 2019 kit and add-ons, and sometimes a favorite photo just needs a reminder of gratitude added to it. The negative space in the blue sky was the perfect place to add the “grateful for this” autumn puffy sticker to one of my favorite photos in this spread.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_GirlsWeekend_11.jpg

I typically add more journaling on the B side of the spread, and this 4” x 6” tag from the October 2019 kit worked perfectly. To the left of the journaling, I added a photo of my friend and goddaughter using dimensional adhesive, and topped it with the blue “smile” die cut from the kit. Tucked underneath the photo, I added wood veneer leaves set and autumn puffy sticker leaves and a row of navy blue hearts. I just love this pocket!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_October_IG.jpg

Thanks so much for stopping by today to check out my latest pocket page! Don’t forget to grab the Elle’s Studio October 2019 kit and add-ons today while supplies last to record your most beautiful autumn memories, and you can find everything I used to create this pocket page spread in the gallery below. Happy creating!

Elle's Studio October 2019 Reveal Day!

Hello, friend! Today is reveal day at Elle’s Studio, and I couldn’t be more excited to share the new October 2019 kit and add-ons with you in this unboxing video!

Let’s take a look at the October kit! Stunning autumnal colors, illustrations and warm phrases combine to create a beautiful and useful kit for your layouts, pocket pages, traveler’s notebook spreads and cards!

To coordinate with all of the beautiful patterns, colors and themes in the kit, we have a full range of add-ons this month! From spooky journaling tags, to wood veneers, acrylic words, new dies, and spooky puffy stickers, you won’t need an excuse to add embellishment to your projects!

Last, but never least, add to your digital library with coordinated printables, cut files and digital labels! You’ll see how I made great use of the printables below!

My first project this month is all about a night of Halloween cookie making with my daughter, and the colors in this kit worked perfectly with the colorful calavera (or sugar skull) cookies that we decorated! I started out this page by printing a printable tag from the Autumn Fun Printables at 8-1/2” x 11” to create the colorful background for my page.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_CalaveraCookies_01.jpg

How about a firsthand look at how this page came together? You’re in luck, because I created a process video for you! In it, you will see how I created my title, added that sweet little border of bones and find out where I covered up a mistake on my page background!

Be sure to shop the October 2019 kit and add-ons while supplies last, and find all of the product that I used to create my “Calavera Cookie” page in the gallery below. Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy creating with your new Elle’s Studio goodies!

Rise Weekend Pocket Page

Over the summer, I attended the RISE conference with Rachel Hollis, a life-changing motivational conference featuring speakers that help to put you in the mindset to conquer anything you want to change in your life! I attended with Catherine Tachdijan of Scrapbook and Cards Today, and we had a wonderful weekend of friendship, food and the powerful conference that helped set my soul on fire. I highly encourage attending this conference if you feel like something is missing from you life. I wanted to document my favorite photos and thoughts from this weekend, and I did that in a pocket page that I created while at Crop & Create Cornwall, to share with my make-and-take attendees! I wanted to show them that you can have just as much fun in pockets as you can on a scrapbook layout, and get so much more documented! I’d love to share this special page with you today:

MeghannAndrew_RISEWeekendPockets_01a.jpg

Supplies* | Project Life Stories Value Core Kit, Color Kaleidoscope puffy stickers, Color Kaleidoscope sticker book, Color Kaleidoscope washi tape set, Mini Dated stamp

Created with only a few products (which are all on sale at my links—the Project Life core kit is 50% off!), this pocket page came together so easily because the core kit coordinated beautifully with the Color Kaleidoscope collection from American Crafts and Vicki Boutin. My favorite pocket was the title pocket, which was originally black and white, and I colored in with watercolors to coordinate with the three main colors of my color scheme.

MeghannAndrew_RISEWeekendPockets_03.jpg

The color scheme was easily to come up with—I simply matched the colors of the conference materials! The pocket cards worked perfectly for me to add journaling and minimal embellishments—like washi tape, cardstock stickers and tiny puffy stickers!

MeghannAndrew_RISEWeekendPockets_05.jpg

I kept the back of the pocket page fun and bright, adding small bits of embellishment and two filler pockets for visual interest! I love the bright and bold pops of color from both my products and photos!

MeghannAndrew_RISEWeekendPockets_02.jpg

The “I love this story” card was one of my favorites in the kit, and I had to use it right in the center of the page. My favorite 4” x 6” photo of Catherine and I from the weekend, taken on the “made for more” wall, was divided across two 3” x 4” pockets. I added no embellishment to it—you don’t have to embellish each and every pocket!

If you love these products as much as I do, be sure to head to the links below to grab them at great discounts!

If you’re interested in learning how to document in pockets or already do so, but want to take your pocket pages to the next level, check out my self-paced, year-long class with Scrapbook & Cards Today, Inside the Pocket! Each month contains a PDF lesson on a specific topic related to pocket page design, releasing on the 2nd Monday of the month. EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ChiTown_01.jpg

I can’t believe that I used my favorite tag from this kit, and didn’t hoard it forever! This patterned circle tag was the perfect one to add my title to, using the Large Jane alphabet stamps!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ChiTown_04.jpg

I used the Home Sweet Home printables to create this custom 4” x 4” heart tag, which I added the beautiful Happy Moments puffy sticker to. I love the mix of product, along with a bit of journaling in this pocket!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ChiTown_05.jpg

This is proof that the Home Wood Veneers don't have to be about your home! I used the “this is my happy place” one here to document my runs along Lake Michigan.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_ChiTown_06.jpg

Isn’t that pencil tag amazing?! You’ll find more school-themed products in the August add-ons, as well as versatile stamp sets, cork and colorful acrylic embellishments and affirming word stickers. Take a look!

EllesStudio_August2019_Add-Ons_01.jpg

If you want to stretch your kit even farther, download the coordinating August digitals! From printable tags and labels to cut files, these files are sure to make your projects amazing, and add tons of value to your digital library!

EllesStudio_August2019-Digitals.jpg

This month, I created a new spread in my daughter’s 2018 traveler’s notebook, all about our favorite parts of August last year: seeing The Lion King in London and hiking Mam Tor in Derbyshire. The beautiful kit colors picked up the yellows and pinks in my photos perfectly, and by using the multi-colored 3” x 4” tag, I opened up a whole range of embellishment color possibilities!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_AugustTN_01.jpg

The “family favorite” Makes Me Smile cork circle created the perfect base for an embellishment grouping on this page, and I love the mix of colors with the yellow patterned paper, fuchsia puffy alphas and teal die-cut heart circle. By using the “totally worth it” die cut from the kit, you can lift up the photo to find out my daughter’s favorite moments from the play, written on a 3” x 4” tag.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_AugustTN_03.jpg

The second main embellishment grouping went below this fun, powerful photo of my daughter on our hike, and the “brave spirit” Be Yourself phrase sticker was perfect to add as a caption here. I loved using the Highlights From stamp off of the bottom of my page to add the month. This notebook is all about the highlights from each month of my daughter’s year, so I’m sure that I’ll be using this more in the future!

Summer Treats with the Elle's Studio July Kit + Extras

Hey friends! Today I’m back to share the second project that I created with the Elle’s Studio July kit and extras*, an 8-1/2” x 11” layout to record the summer treat that makes my little girl the happiest: popsicles!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SummerFavorite_01.jpg

I had so much fun creating this layout, and I’d love to share with you how it came together!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SummerFavorite_02.jpg

First, I started off with a smooth, white piece of 8-1/2” x 11” cardstock. In Silhouette Studio, I opened the July 2019 digital cut file, which coordinates perfectly with the kit, and created a cluster of three stars at the bottom left and another at the top right before cutting them out and backing them with patterns from the Sunshine 6 x 6 paper stack, which is full of beautiful, colorful patterns!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SummerFavorite_04.jpg

Next, I backed my photo with the colorful popsicle paper from the Sunshine 6 x 6 paper stack and adhered it using dimensional adhesive. The next step was to add my title! I stamped “summer” using the Title Builder Vol. 3 stamp on a Shine die cut label, and paired it with the “favorite” die cut, also from the Shine die cut pack. I also stamped a row of yellow stars using the You Are My Sunshine stamp before adhering “favorite”, to give it a nice shelf to sit on.

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SummerFavorite_03.jpg

At the top corner of my photo, I added the “photo heart” die cut from the July kit, and a July label to hold the date. Those extra die cuts that I had from cutting out my stars? A few of them were adhered directly to my photo, and I love the way that they carry that diagonal line of stars across the image!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_SummerFavorite_07.jpg

Now came the fun part: embellishing! I had to use the large acrylic popsicles, as well as some puffy star stickers. To add another texture, I grabbed some die cut stars from the Shine die cuts and stamped some of the small circle stars using the You Are My Sunshine stamp before calling this layout complete!

I just love how this page turned out, and I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty this week to document your favorite summertime treat! Thanks so much for stopping by, and be sure to grab the products that I used to create this layout from the gallery below while supplies last!

I fell so in love with the Pool Party wood veneer that I created an entire pocket page spread to use it. The July kit and extras were the perfect supplies to record this fun, summer day!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_PoolPartyPockets_01.jpg

I just had to add some color to that beautiful wood veneer piece, and I balanced it out with several different pockets of color throughout the spread, like with this fun “splash goals” title, which I created using all of my ES puffy alphabet stickers and the new Title Builder Vol. 3 stamp! I just love how it turned out— especially with that little splash!

American Crafts + Damask Love Wild Card: Hana Road

I recently received the Damask Love Wild Card collection* from American Crafts, exclusive to JoAnn Crafts! This collection certainly has a tropical feel which is perfect for summer memories, and, with just a few AC products, I had a great time documenting a beautiful day in Hawaii with it. Take a look!

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_HanaRoad_01.jpg

Supplies | Wild Card collection: Paper project pad, stickers; Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope: 12” x 12” mixed media paper pad, texture paste; Sparkle City collection: foam Thickers; Head in the Clouds collection: enamel dots

This layout was all about COLOR, and getting that Hawaiian vibe on the page. I started by printing my photos at 3” x 3” and arranged them in a handy grid on a spare sheet of white cardstock. Instead of painting my own background, I started out with a sheet of the Color Kaleidoscope 12” x 12” mixed media paper pad to get all of these colorful, painted splots on the page without the mess!

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_HanaRoad_02.jpg

I knew that I wanted my title to be about our long day trip to Hana, and I found a great font called Sharkines to cut the word from papers in the Wild Card collection project pad. I cut each letter out twice using different papers, and layered them for a colorful look. In the corner, I added fussy-cut leaves from the Toucan Do It paper in the project pad, then topped them with a toucan sticker from the Wild Card stickers. For the second word in my title, I used the Sparkle City foam Thickers to add a pop of blue.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_HanaRoad_04.jpg

Adding my journaling on a pocket card with a nice yellow outline added a bright pop of color and helped to balance the title on the opposite side. I also added another toucan from the Wild Card stickers to the base of the card, facing toward my photos. Do you see that sparkle at the base of my card? I added that with the amazing Color Kaleidoscope chunky texture paste, brushed directly onto the mixed media background paper on top of the paint splatters. It provided the perfect amount of sparkle!

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_HanaRoad_05.jpg

In the upper right corner, I wanted to balance those big leaves from the bottom left corner and continue that diagonal line through my photos. I used fussy-cut leaves, and Wild Card stickers to create the corner. The pineapple was the perfect touch! I finished it with a fussy-cut sun cut from the So Fresh paper in the project pad.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_HanaRoad_03.jpg

To finish off the page with a few different textures, I added some older Crate Paper brads from my stash and Head in the Clouds enamel dots.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_HanaRoad_06.jpg

I hope you love this page as much as I do! I feel like it perfectly captures the aloha spirit! If you have your own tropical adventure to record, I highly recommend the Damask Love Wild Card collection, which is on sale at JoAnn Crafts! Mahalo and happy creating, friends!

Elle's Studio June Kit Reveal!

Hello friends! It’s the 10th of the month, and the June 2019 Elle’s Studio kit and add-ons* have hit the shop! This kit will have you itching to get into the A/C to document your summer memories with its colorful hues, pretty hand lettered words and cute wood veneers! Take a look at my unboxing video to see all of the new goodies:

Oh this June kit! With all of the colors and summery themes, I had to document some equally colorful and fun summer moments with it this month!

The June add-ons are just the best this month! Whether you’re documenting best friends, or creating a big, starry title, you need to create some space in your box for them! (And as a bonus, subscribers can add these add-ons to their box for free!)

With all of the color in the kit, I decided to document a fun family trip to Mexico in my daughter’s 2018 traveler’s notebook.

I was so inspired by the color scheme found on the “relax” journaling tag from the June kit, that I based my spread’s color scheme on it, and created the equally colorful “Mexico” title!

EllesStudio_MeghannAndrew_MexicoTN_02.jpg

Doubling up the Large Jane solid and stars alphabet stamps for my letters created such a beautiful title! Want to see how I created this title, and designed my spread? It would easily translate into a 12” x 12” scrapbook layout! Watch my process video here:

I know you’ll love creating with the Elle’s Studio June kit and extras as much as I did! Find all of the products that I used to create this TN spread in the gallery below, and happy creating this week!

I was able to work with the Summer Dreams scrapbook kit, and I’m excited to share my layouts and card with you today, as well as a special discount! First, let’s start with my double-page spread:

SCTMagazine_MeghannAndrew_BeachDayFun_01.jpg

This fun page took its color scheme from the multi-colored stripe paper on the left and includes three 4” x 6” and two 4” x 4” photos. To keep your eye moving across the spread, I added the fun cardstock, patterned paper, die cut and tag circles, which add the fun!

SCTMagazine_MeghannAndrew_BeachDayFun_06.jpg

My favorite part is this multi-product title that I created using the exclusive digital die cuts, exclusive stamp and small puffy alphabet stickers. To add more color, I stamped “ beach love” above in several colors.

SCTMagazine_MeghannAndrew_BeachDayFun_08.jpg

The exclusive printables here: the painted yellow tag, “memories” tab, and sweet bikini tag created the perfect group of embellishments and journaling here at the top right corner. I loved creating this fun layout about an awesome day with family and friends at the beach!

SCTMagazine_MeghannAndrew_HelloSunshineCard_03.jpg

How about a sweet and simple card? Layering patterned paper and stitching it together provided some texture on this card. Exclusives in the kit—the “sun” stamp and sparkly “shine” foam word, along with the pink “hello” die cut created the greeting. To amp up the cuteness factor, the bee die cut finished off the card! I love cards that can be used for any occasion, and this is certainly one of them!

SCTMagazine_MeghannAndrew_HelloSunshine_01.jpg

My final layout, a 12” x 12” single page layout, started off with product: the cockatoo card! I knew I had a photo of my daughter in Hawaii holding a white cockatoo, so I printed two 3” x 4” photos and got to work! I decided to go for a BOLD, floral, tropical feel on this page, and I cut the colorful ray paper on the background, leaving only the colors I wanted to show on this page, and backed it with the dark blue pattern. From there, it was all about layering!

SCTMagazine_MeghannAndrew_HelloSunshine_05.jpg

Layers of cardstock, patterned paper, printable tag, die cuts and fussy-cut flowers surround my photos, where the colorful rays draw your eye. I love the exclusive stamp so much, and I used it to stamp “vacation memories” on the rays at the bottom left corner, where I also added the date of our trip.

SCTMagazine_MeghannAndrew_HelloSunshine_02.jpg

My title was fussy-cut with the “hello” patterned paper card, and the “sunshine” exclusive digital die cut word. I love the sweet memory that this page records, and especially when product helps me remember a memory that would have otherwise been forgotten.

Let The Sun Shine In Layout + Process Video

Hello, friends! I’m excited to be back home creating after a long, relaxing holiday weekend, and today I have a colorful page to share with you that combines two of my favorite new collections from American Crafts—Vicki Boutin's Color Kaleidoscope and the Sparkle City collection—all inspired by my daughter’s umbrella.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_LetTheSunShine_01.jpg

Supplies | Color Kaleidoscope collection: Kaleidoscope paper, Beyond Words paper, Paper Hearts paper, Flight of Fancy paper, ephemera die cuts, sticker book, puffy sticker phrases, small puffy sticker sheet; Sparkle City collection: 6" x 8" paper pad, cardstock stickers, sticker book, chipboard stickers, glitter enamel dots

The background Kaleidoscope paper provided the perfect place to color-block embellishments and other fussy-cut papers around its colorful rays, which helped me to tell the story of a grumpy girl whose mood was brightened by her colorful new umbrella.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_LetTheSunShine_02.jpg

The Sparkle City collection’s 6" x 8" paper pad provided the perfect title for this page, “Let the Sun Shine In,” which I added to the center of the Color Kaleidoscope ephemera die cut frame.

AmericanCrafts_MeghannAndrew_LetTheSunShine_03.jpg

I loved joining the colorful elements from these beautiful collections to get this story in my album. Watch my process video below to see how I pulled it all together:
