A Flurry of Fun with Pink & Main's October Release!
/The Pink & Main October release has arrived, and it’s filled with wintery fun! With new stamps, dies, foiling goodies, and more, it was a hard decision for me to make this month, but I just had to create with the sweet bears and penguins again this month in the Flurry of Fun stamp and coordinating die. Take a look:
The star of this card are those sweet critters gracing the circle on the front from the Flurry of Fun stamp. I stamped them using Lawn Fawn’s Jet Black ink, then colored them in using my OLO Markers, an alcohol-based marker that blends beautifully.
OLO Markers used:
Scarves & earmuffs: R 0.5, R 0.6, B 4.3, B 4.6
Feet, beaks & carrot: OR 1.2, OR 1.3
Cheeks: R 2.2
Penguins & buttons: C-G 7, C-G 9
Twigs: O 4.3, O 4.6
White shadows: W-G 1, C-G 1
I set the scene on a circle that I die cut using the Everlasting Circles Etched Dies and ink blended using Powder Blue ink. I then splattered it with Splatter White medium and allowed it to dry while I created the remainder of my layers. An A2-sized piece of red patterned paper from the Chill in the Air paper pack added that pop of red on the background. I then used my favorite layering dies, Precision Layering A2 A and A2 B Etched Dies with Indigo ColorWheel cardstock and the plaid blue pattern from the Chill in the Air paper pack to create contrast against the red.
Before I layered my blended, splattered circle with an Indigo circle, cut again using the Everlasting Circles Etched Dies, I stamped the sentiment using In the Navy ink. Once my circle layers were adhered using 1mm foam adhesive, it was time to top with my colored snowman, penguins, and snow.
To finish off my card, I simply added a few Opal Color Essentials gems to fall in the sky like snow!
