Spellbinders & Simon Hurley Boo Crew Colorful Halloween Card
/Hello there! The countdown to Halloween is on, and today I went live to share inspiration using the Simon Hurey and Spellbinders Spooktacular collection to create another Halloween card. Click ‘watch on YouTube’ below to open the replay in a new tab so that you can like, comment, and subscribe to my channel!
In this video, I created a card based off of one created by the Spellbinders team:
I loved the quadrant of colors on the background that gave it a modern look! Here’s the card I created in the livestream:
What a fun, colorful card this turned out to be! I started off by ink blending my background panel in four segments, using Check Engine, Slippery When Wet, Later Gator, and Pompous Stellar Inks from Ranger! I then embossed it with the Damask 3D Embossing Folder, before swiping the raised areas with Shady Stellar Ink to give it that fun background.
Next I build each of the ghosts, cut using the Boo Crew Etched Dies and Spellbinders ColorWheel cardstock. Each of these ghosts has such a personality becuase of their accessories and facial features!
I loved making each one a little different to bring lift to the card. On the fourth quadrant, I added the ‘boo to you’ sentiment cut from the Boo Crew Etched Dies, cutting the shadow layer in black to help it to stand out among the pattern on the background.
I really love this card, and it was fun and easy to create! I hope you enjoyed today’s livestream! Be sure to check out the supply list below to find links to all of the products that I used, and I hope that this card has inspired you to get creative this weekend! Happy creating!
