Christmas in July: Simon Hurley's North Pole Friends Collection

Hello there! Today I’m excited to share my final Christmas in July cards with you using the new North Pole Friends Collection by Simon Hurley! I specifically loved the Polar Bear Pals dies and created two sweet and simple cards that focused on the amazing die cuts!

This wonderful Polar Bear Pals etched die set includes three polar bears and their accessories, and includes amazing details! Let’s look at each card a bit more closely.

My first card focused on the mom and cub duo. I love that the momma bear is sitting on her bum while the baby bear looks at her. They are both dressed for the cold in their red and pink hats, sweater, and scarf.

The pole in the center is from a different etched die set in the collection, the North Pole Sentiments Etched Dies. That set includes the pole, a snowman, and a wide range of sentiments to adorn the pole. I love the classic red and white look, and I placed it against a Malibu cardstock arched background, splattered with Splatter White Opaque Watercolor to give it a snowy look.

To finish the card, I added a few Crystal Mix Color Essentials Gems to add a bit of sparkle.

My second card features a solo polar bear on a mission to go to Santa’s workshop! This snowy scene was created with Cosmic Sky cardstock and Splatter White Opaque Watercolor, with a base of snow cut from the glitter cardstock in the Antique White Assorted Treasured Cardstock pack. I added the red & white pole again, this time topping it with ‘North Pole,’ and ‘Santa’s Workshop’ for a whimsical touch.

This polar bear, donning a necklace of Christmas lights, is headed in the right direction to see Santa!

I had so much fun creating these cards, and I hope you love this etched die set, and the entire North Pole Friends Collection as much as I do! Consider it for your holiday cards this year! Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!
