Hello, there! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I’m tuning in today to share a new collection that launched this week at Spellbinders, the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Birthday collection, a joint collection between Simple Stories and Spellbinders. My love for Pooh is strong, so I had so much fun crafting these adorable birthday greetings filled with Classic Pooh iconography.

When you combine this new collection with the Classic Pooh dies released in 2024, like the Pooh & Piglet Etched Dies, Tigger & Eeyore Etched Dies, and Pooh's Hunny Pot Etched Dies, you really have a party! Let’s take a look at each card.

My first card shows Pooh celebrating in his natural environment: a honey pot! The Pooh's Hunny Pot Etched Dies gave me the perfect honey pot party seat, and the Pooh & Piglet Etched Dies added the classic Pooh, along with the big birthday balloon. The new Birthday Accessories Etched Dies added the banner, presents and cupcake, and the sentiment, ‘make a wish’ came from the new A Very Happy Birthday Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set.

The Essential Arches Etched Dies added the perfect frame around Pooh, and I placed it all on top of a panel embossed with the Floating Balloons 3D Embossing Folder.

On my second card, it’s time for Pooh and Piglet to wish another resident in the Hundred Acre Wood area happy birthday! On this card, Pooh and Piglet, cut from the Pooh & Piglet Etched Dies, donning birthday hats, are carrying a Pooh-sized cake and Piglet-sized present., cut from the Birthday Accessories Etched Dies to the birthday girl or boy. One of my favorite parts of this new collection are the dual-colored, curly party streamers. ‘It’s your special day,’ was pressed & cut using the A Very Happy Birthday Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set.

This scene, placed again on an arch cut from the Essential Arches Etched Dies was placed on a panel embossed with the Rosette Burst 3D Embossing Folder of the Month to give it a fun, celebratory feel.

I had to create a card with Tigger for the final of the trio! The playful, bouncy Tigger was cut from the Tigger & Eeyore Etched Dies with the remainder of the simple decor pieces from the Birthday Accessories Etched Dies. I loved adding the birthday streamers embossing folder in the background to tie into the streamers in the arch, again cut with the Essential Arches Etched Dies. The ‘a VERY happy birthday’ sentiment seemed fitting for Tigger!
