Concord & 9th April Release: Tiled Turnabout Bundle
/I was so excited to guest for Concord & 9th this month for their gorgeous April release and 2025 Color Collection release! I’ve been sharing my cards one bundle at a time, and today, I am sharing the final two cards created with the Tiled Turnabout bundle! Let’s take a look at my first card:
For those of you who know, Turnabouts are just about my favorite thing created by Concord & 9th! I LOVE the gorgeous patterns that you can create just by using the Turanbout Jig and the simple instructions that Concord & 9th has illustrated in the guide found in the Jig. For my first card, I stamped all four turns using two of the new 2025 Color Collection hues Lakefront & Starfruit, as well as tried and true favs Tidepool and Midnight. I love this color combination so much! I trimmed the card front by 1/8” on all sides before backing onto an A2 piece of Lakefront cardstock.
Because I loved that pattern so much, I didn’t want to cover it up much at all. I used the Tiled Turnabout stamp and Midnight ink to stamp ‘you’re pretty great’, which I cut out with a strip die, then backed it with another strip die cut from Midnight. I offset these strips and popped them up on the card front using foam adhesive before finishing off the card with Dew Drops.
Much like with all of the other bundles I have created with this month, I simplified my second card and used a completely different color scheme to show you how you can get more use from these products.
For this card, I started with a piece of Pebble cardstock which I added texture to using the Basket Weave Card Front die. This created the perfect base for the group of florals that I would add to the top using the Tiled Turnabout stamp. To make the largest flowers stand out, I first stamped the entire flower with Pimento, then ink blended just the center of the flower on the stamp using a blending brush and Brickyard ink. I did this several times to make the center darker than the outside edges of the petals.
I did the same with my leaves, using Pistachio for the entire leaf, then ink blending onto the stamp with Avocado. This gave the center a slightly darker shade. For my smallest flowers, I used Creamsicle ink without any shading. After my flowers and leaves were stamped, I cut them using the coordinating dies and arranged them on the card front.
To finish the card, I added the ‘hello’ sentiment cut from Mushroom cardstock using the Tiled Turnabout dies, backed onto a white shadow layer. I layered this right on top of the floral arrangement and finished off the grouping with enamel dots in Stardust and Grapefruit.
I hope you enjoyed checking out these two cards—both used the same Tiled Turnabout bundle, but they turned out very different! Be sure to check out the products that I used to create these two cards at the links below, and follow me here for more Concord & 9th cards! Happy creating!
