Concord & 9th April Release: Petal Print Stencil Pack
/I was so excited to guest for Concord & 9th this month for their gorgeous April release and 2025 Color Collection release! I’m sharing my cards one bundle at a time and today, I am sharing my Petal Print stencil pack cards. Let’s take a look at my first card:
This 4-part stencil creates a fun, modern floral design that fills an A2 card background. The beauty of this set is that you can add as much or as little on top of your blended design. For this card, I started out with stencil one (the leaf tops) in Harbor and then stencil two (the leaf bottoms) in Blueberry. I blended the petals on stencil 3 in Grapefruit, and the flower centers in Midnight using a detail blending brush. Finally, on stencil 4, I added the center of the flower in Honeycomb to finish off the background.
To top the background, I cut the ‘friend’ sentiment from the Hugs & Friend dies three times from white cardstock and once from gold foil cardstock, adhering them together to create chipboard-like letters. I then cut the shadow layer from vellum and adhered them together, placing my sentiment on the left side of the card. For a sub-sentiment, I stamped and cut ‘So Grateful for You’ using the So Many Sayings bundle and added that strip to the right of the ‘friend’ word. To finish off this card, I added a few gold enamel dots.
My next card includes a simple sentiment and a bold color scheme, but I added a step that took this card to the next level.
On this card, I used all four parts of the stencil, just like I did with my first card. I kept the leaves green this time, using Pistachio for stencil one and Avocado for stencil two. For stencil three, I amped up the color with Dragonfruit for the petals, then went dark with stencil four using Plumberry. Once my flowers were finished, I placed stencil three back on the paper, adhered it to my card base and embossed it using my die cutting machine. This popped up the Dragonfruit petals slightly and elevated the look of the card! I covered up the flower centers with a Dragonfruit enamel dot.
For my sentiment, I cut ‘so grateful’ from the More to Say dies from Plumberry, and used a vellum shadow layer underneath to add softness.
I hope you enjoyed checking out these two cards—both used the same Petal Print stencil pack, but turned out very different!
