Hello, friends! Today, I went live with the new Gina K. Designs Relax and Have Fun card kit, using the gorgeous The Great Outdoors silhouette stamp! With birthdays coming up for my dad and brother in the next month, I figured that I would create two cards at once using the same techniques! I started with the postage stamp die from Master Layouts 15, masking and ink blending a beautiful sky from Wild Dandelion, Sweet Mango, and Powder Blue. I grabbed the Great Outdoors stamp, found in the Relax and Have Fun card kit, and began to stamp the water and green base of the design, but realized that the same wasn’t going all of the way to the Masking Magic edge! In came my OLO Markers to save the day, and I used B0.7 to fill in the slight gap.

Let’s be honest: things don’t always go as planned in our craft space, but instead of giving up, I pivoted to make it work! And since I’m sending these to two non-cardmakers, I’m sure that they won’t notice a thing! My brother is the golfer, so I stamped a golfing scene with a tree for his card.

My dad, the avid fisherman got the fishing scene. Once the postage panels were complete, I backed them onto a piece of In the Navy cardstock that I stamped using the houndstooth pattern found on the Double Background 2/ Grip Mat Stamp. I love the addition of this pattern on the background. I die cut those patterned pieces out using Master Layouts 02, my favorite ML set, and backed that piece with the slight outline rectangle also found in ML 2, both in Wild Dandelion and in Blue Sky.

Last, but not least, I backed both of these layers with an A2 piece of In The Navy cardstock and topped them both with sentiments stamped using The Great Outdoors stamp and cut out with Master Layouts 02 and Master Layouts 18.
