In today’s class, we learned how to ink blend a beautiful sky background, add depth and dimension to our die cuts with ink blending, and we created a sweet, dimensional scene with a beautiful, exclusive SB.com kit!

Bonus cards
I couldn’t stop with just one card: I had to create three more! Take a look at the bonus cards and note the additional supplies that I used outside of my kit:
Bonus Card 01
This first card uses only my Class Essentials kit, plus two additional products! I created the sunshine sky background with the Outdoors stencil from my kit, then cut the die-cut cloud shapes in the front using the Magic Meadow die set, popping them up for added dimension. The scalloped edge die from this set creates the perfect fluffy cloud shapes!
I cut my birds using the Happy Mail die set from my Class Essentials kit, but added the red cardstock from the Playful Smooth Cardstock pack. I finished up this simple card with three Gina K Designs Clear Quartz Solid Sequins.
Bonus Card 02
This is my favorite bonus card! I used the Outdoors Stencil from my Class Essentials kit to create the grass and sky scene, then topped it with a red mailbox, cut from the Playful Smooth Cardstock pack. I love how the red pops against the blue sky! On top of the mailbox, I cut a sweet, sprinkled cupcake, cut from the Valentine die set from my Class Essentials kit. There really are so many wonderful elements in the kit to create with!
Since I had a cupcake, I had to make a full celebration with balloons! I grabbed my friend Justin Adkins’ Class Essentials kit, which includes the Nested Round Balloons die set! I LOVE this die set and three balloons fit so perfectly to the left of the mailbox. I cut the balloons using the Gelato cardstock pad from my Class Essentials kit, plus the Warms Smooth Cardstock pad for the salmon & yellow balloons! The ‘hooray for you’ sentiment from the Wordfetti stamp found in my kit, was perfect for this celebration card, and I had to finish with Gina K Designs Clear Quartz Solid Sequins. If you have Justin’s class kit, I hope you’ll combine the two and give it a try!
Bonus Card 03
Bonus card three is for my clean and colorful cardmakers! I wanted to use the bird from the Valentine die set found in my Class Essentials kit, and as a bonus on that die set, there was also a small rectangle—I instantly thought about a trio of birds, each with a different color behind them. I grabbed the light pink, light orange, and light blue from the Gelato cardstock pad to create the colorful rectangles, then cut my birds from white, adding their beaks and eyes using the Playful Smooth Cardstock pack. I cut the smallest heart from the Valentine die set from the three different pinks found in the Gelato cardstock pad to make each bird slightly different.
Because of this pop of color on the front, I wanted to keep the rest of the card clean, using only white cardstock. To give it more interest, I die cut the postage frame from the Happy Mail die set found in my Class Essentials kit, which I popped up using 1mm foam tape to my folded card base before I put my trio of birds on the front. For the sentiment, I decided to go to Laura Graff’s Class Essentials Kit to use the From the Heart stamp. I thought this sentiment was perfect for my birds holding the hearts! Three Gina K Designs Clear Quartz Solid Sequins finished off this card beautifully.
