Concord & 9th April Release: Birdhouse Blossoms

I was so excited to guest for Concord & 9th this month for their gorgeous April release and 2025 Color Collection release! I’m sharing my cards one bundle at a time and today, I wanted to share my Birdhouse Blossoms cards, perfect for year-round occasions!

My first card brings all of the current spring vibes to life using the dies, embossing folder and stamps from the Birdhouse Blossoms bundle.

I thnk any bird would love to live in a pretty teal birdhouse! I die cut the house using Tidepool & Juniper cardstock, embossing the pieces to add the lovely wood grain design. This easy step adds so much texture to the card. Before adding the house to my card base, I gently ink blended Aqua Sky on the background, to give a soft light blue glow on the background, remniscent of the sky. I stamped ‘have the nicest day’ in Juniper on the card front and then adhered the bird house using foam adhesive.

I wanted to create a Robin, so I die cut him from Cobblestone, which I ink blended with Harbor ink to give it a slightly blue hue, Pebble, and Spiced Cider, placing him on the bird house. Next it was time for me to create the floral branches and greenery around the house. I cut the flowers from Briar Rose and the new Plumberry, and added Ballet Slipper centers. The leaves were cut from the new Pistachio and Avocado papers, which pair beautifully together. For a brighter pop of color, I added poseys cut from Carnation, adding a Wildberry enamel dot to the center of each. Extra texture, and a bit of contrast was added to these three groupings with branches cut from Nutmeg.

This was a fairly die-cutting intense card, but for my next card, I simplified the design to create a holiday greeting, showing the variety you can get out of this bundle:

A cardinal is the perfect feathery friend to add to a holiday card, and I cut him from the new Brickyard and Cranberry cardstock. I nestled him in a loose floral nest set against Powder cardstock that I just love—with poppies created again with Brickyard and Cranberry, boughs cut from Evergreen, leaves from Avocado, and branches cut from Nutmeg, but this time with white glitter cardstock berries to add a pretty shimmer.

The Birdhouse Blossoms stamp set includes four sentiments that fit within an arched banner die, and I stamped ‘happy holidays’ in Brickyard and die cut the arch, placing it just under my bird, giving him a ‘shelf’ to nest on. Finally, I added a few white enamel dots that gave this card the perfect finishing touch.

I hope you enjoyed checking out these two cards—one a bit more detailed, and one simpler, but both beautiful thanks to the Birdhouse Blossoms bundle. Be sure to check out the products that I used to create these two cards at the links below, and stay tuned for two more cards to be shared tomorrow!
